Don't forget and let it be forgotten:Crimean Deportation

I chose this topic because I can't tolerate the act of people who made this terrible things.I don't know how people can be so selfish and torture people ?Crimea was controlled by different emperors.Importantly

Crimean people was Turkish rooted people:Tatars.As we know for a time Crimea was controlled by Ottoman Empire but then we lost it.After Crimea was controlled by Soviet Russia,people faced with challenges.They are forced to move from their country and whoever rejected moving,ended up in jails,camps or death.They were sent away from their hometown.It was the first step of the assimilation policy.They exiled Crimean Tatars and put Russian people to their homes.For me it was an ashame for  the humankind.my ancestors were also exiled from Crimea.After the  Russian press,during World War II Crimea was under control of Germany.They are also cruel to this people.We know people are forced to migrate and many of them died during the journey.In addition the exiled ones faced with challenges because all of their belongings were not with them.They suffered,died..After the deportation,Crimean Tatars tried to come back to their country but they were not allowed to come back.They made protestos,mitings,hunger strikes..Eventually they took what they wanted but it was too late for millions of people.They died with homesickness.Today,Crimea is under control of Ukraina but it is an autonomus republic.Unfortunately,only 13% of its people are Crimean Tatars and even 25% of its population is Ukrainians.(56% is Russian.)Here we see the spreading policy of Soviet Russia.Crimea was also forced to write and speak Russian.Therefore now,whereever you go you can see its effect in this beautiful country.

The day of deportation was 18th May 1944.We don't know about this exile and we are not taught anything.For me,we should tell about this event and inform people about it.Unfortunately,we don't remember these died people.

We need to think about not only for our country but also the others.Crimea is our neighbour and they need our help.If I hadn't been told about my history,I wouldn't have known anything.We should not only teach Turkey's,Anatolia's history but also other Turkish countries history.We need to be together as the Turkish countries and help each other,so it will be much more easy to cure our wounds.
